The hamlet of Labau
The hamlet of Labeau, the closest to MARSA is a step on the Cathar trail.
The agricultural and forestry activities of the past have given way to green tourism.
A lodging of stage for 20 people and a stage for hikers on horseback (stable) compose almost all the dwellings of the place.
Originally this hamlet was referred to as the "metairies" (Cassini plan).
Another denomination designated it under the name "Mathalis" probably a memory of the Saracen incursions of the high middle age: Mathalis: mata Ali (to kill Ali).
During the twentieth century is the name of Labau (Labor) that has emerged..
